Donor Agreement

1. You are donating, not betting
Your donation is an irrevocable gift, subject to the redirect rule below. You will not receive money back under any outcome.
2. The redirect rule
If the side you support raises less than the opposing side by the deadline, your donation is transferred to the opposing fundraiser's verified recipient wallet, alongside the rest of the pot. If the two sides end exactly tied, the pot is split 50/50 between the two recipient wallets. You accept this rule with every donation; it is restated on every confirmation screen.
3. Finality
Donations are final at on-chain confirmation. The sole exception is platform cancellation of a Fight, in which case your original donation amount is recoverable by the donating wallet via the contract's refund function.
4. Tax treatment
Deductibility is not guaranteed and depends on the recipient and the redirect outcome; donations to individuals, businesses, and other non-charity fundraisers are generally personal gifts and not tax-deductible. If your side loses, your donation funds the opposing cause. Consult a tax professional; the platform does not provide tax advice.
5. Caps and verification
Per-wallet limits apply per Fight and are visible before you donate. We may require identity verification for larger cumulative giving; this control is being rolled out and, when active, is planned to apply above $1,000 cumulative (with enhanced review above $10,000). Until it is active, the per-Fight per-wallet limit is the operative control, and completing verification may raise it. Fight pots are not capped.
6. Honest display
Anything shown in the live feed reflects real, confirmed donations. The platform never simulates activity. Competitive impact statements ("closes the gap to…") are computed from live totals at render time.
7. Risk disclosures
Donating here carries risks you should understand before you give. Your donation is final: once confirmed on-chain it cannot be reversed, recalled, or charged back, and if your side loses it goes to the opposing side's recipient (sections 1-3). The sole exception is platform cancellation of a Fight, in which case your original donation is claimable on-chain (section 3). Blockchain transactions are irreversible by design: if you send funds to the wrong address or from a wallet you later lose access to, no one, including us, can retrieve them. Donations are made in USDC, a stablecoin intended to track the US dollar; a stablecoin can trade below one dollar or, in an issuer failure, lose value entirely, so the dollar value shown for a pot is not guaranteed at payout. The escrow is a smart contract: it has been tested and its rules cannot be changed after a Fight starts, but no software is risk-free, and a defect in the contract, the blockchain network, or your wallet software could delay or prevent settlement. You are responsible for the security of your own wallet and keys. Losing your keys means losing access to any refund you would otherwise be able to claim. Nothing on this platform is tax, legal, investment, or financial advice; whether a donation is deductible depends on your situation and the redirect outcome (section 4), and you should consult your own advisers. If our website is temporarily unavailable, the escrow contract and your on-chain rights under it are unaffected.
